JOB BRIEF

The UBC Education Website, Department of Radiology, is the recognized academic Radiology Department in British Columbia, with teaching facilities embedded in the BC hospital system. They approached Line49 Design because they required a fresh look for their existing Website and an easy-to-use content management system.

After successfully redesigning the primary Website for the UBC Department of Radiology, we were asked to adapt the students’ website to the new platform and look. This required porting the content of a large Website to an updated platform, cleaning and revising it, and then relaunching it with a new look and control system.

UBC provides firm guidelines regarding the presentation of Web sites in its domain. Line 49 worked in communication with members of the UBC and Faculty of Medicine’s IT departments on this project and created stunning original artwork that was visually and technically integrated within UBC’s framework. Based on the popular Joomla platform, this website features a slick accordion-style navigation system. The client learned to use the system quickly and has successfully managed their content continuously.
